Democracy Panel

Since 1993, The University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Public Policy Center (APPC) has been the premier communication policy center in the country.

APPC studies Americans’ political knowledge, media use, and opinions about candidates and issues. The Annenberg Democracy Study Panel is an academic research project not affiliated with any political candidate, party, or organization. The purpose is to understand Americans’ views on a wide array of issues, including the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Throughout the project, qualifying, selected participants will be invited to complete surveys that ask them to share their opinion about important issues and topics facing the nation. We will use those responses to understand important trends in public opinion, and may share that knowledge through books, academic articles, and eventually in news coverage.

How does the Annenberg Democracy Study Panel work?

1. As a member of the panel, you are eligible to be selected to receive surveys sent out by SSRS to the Annenberg Democracy Study Panel on behalf of APPC.

2. You can complete surveys by telephone or online via your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
